A Balancing Act

May 27th through June 2nd

You can enhance your understanding by applying the Houses these signs and Planets are falling into in your Natal Chart. I am happy to help you with figuring that out, at no cost to you— just shoot me an email!!

Mercury Conjunct Uranus: Increasing in strength over the week and peaking on May 31st. The detailed and logical Mercury meets with the intellectual liberator Uranus. Some nervous energy in the body will cause sudden shifts to the mental and manual processes of our everyday lives. Things that don’t feel as though they sit right with our expressive nature will need to be broken-down. We can revamp the habits and routines of our minds and lifestyles to coincide better with a sense of authenticity in tandem with the human collective intelligence. As this occurs in Taurus, we see this revamp expressed through an area of life we demand a lot of stability, thus we will want to return to that equilibrium quickly. Take advantage of the chance to make improvements to the daily thoughts and habits by allowing yourself to enter unfamiliar territory.

Jupiter Trine Pluto: Unconscious fear and desire has a strong, subtle influence over the new growth Jupiter has started to bring to our Gemini House. The transformative rebelliousness of Pluto in Aquarius, which in retrograde is currently reorienting the current setting of power, imbues our guiding principles. Jupiter in Gemini struggles to find greater truths in smaller details. We will feel more inclined to make larger displays & commentaries about those single social settings. These displays & commentaries will have a rather natural exposing or concealing to them. This will be a strong time for social justice and political narrative. Social and Political commentary will come with a bold rawness. Pluto also imbues, through Jupiter, spiritual practice, higher education, travel, and philosophy. As Gemini’s ruler Mercury sits in Taurus’ late degrees it enters a critical stage. So the setting of these commentaries is the context of logistics, locality, and communications with themes like resources, sustenance, nurturance, pleasure, and luxury. So someone writes a big story exposing or commentating on a local restaurant. Or more covertly, a business deal makes a grand success in food.

Saturn Sextile Mercury: Peaking right at the beginning of the weak, Saturn continues to hold a responsibility to our mental and manual tendencies. If you’ve been working on holding yourself to a relationship with your body for the sake of your mental stability, the strength to do so starts to diminish. Continue good habits or truly try to commit to them and reinforce the supportive behaviors. Revisit the dream for your life to continue to inspire good work.

Mars Conjunct Chiron: Strong this week, peaking on May 29th. This energy has been looming for a couple weeks with Mars in Aries, but holds more strength now. The way our wounded nature holds us back from action and self-assertion is truly clear. Holds us back, or creates unhealthy habits of extreme self-assertion, shame for the outburst, and then meekness. These behaviors may rightly come out right now. This planetary alignment offers a frustrating, but capable basis to see the context of how our traumas and delusions lead to identifications and behaviors that reinforce toxic behaviors. So we can sublimate this into powerful healer energy.

Saturn Square Venus and the Sun: Saturn in Pisces holding the dream and imaginative quality to Venus and the Sun in Gemini (Including Jupiter, but in low strength at the moment). This aspect will reach a medium strength at the end of the week and continue on through Gemini season. The tension here is between the imaginative and logical mind. We feel the strong focused responsibility to the Pisces house right now, which will conflict with the added events and attention in the Gemini House. Venus and the Sun in Gemini brandishes a whimsical and direct method to communication and enjoyment. Little trips, sampling a variety of new experiences, applying an elevated literary or vocal ability. Saturn in Pisces imposes the consequences to things like addiction and victimization. Gemini boats a tempting desire to get out there. So we can expect temptation out in the local environment or right on our devices. We can also connect with a really beautiful artistic sense. This would be an excellent time for something like songwriting if we’re willing to go deep and have been doing the work to create a sustainable lifestyle.

*The date ranges reflect the Moon being a majority in the given sign during a 5am-11pm EST range. Moon Signs naturally set each other up for a successful procession through life's subtle developments.

The Moon in Capricorn - May 27: The stoic Capricorn Moon in which the emotional nature becomes more cold. Better for getting work done, making pragmatic decisions.

The Moon in Aquarius - May 27-29: Also stoic and cold like the Capricorn Moon, but applicable more for intellectual matters than labor.

The Moon in Pisces - May 30-31: Creates an emotional openness that can create a subtle intensity for some people. It can also feel very refined and pure. Protect your space. This will have the Last Quarter phase of the Lunar Cycle dealing which may push things in the direction of intensity. It will require some psychological letting go.

The Moon in Aries - June 1-2: Bold and decisive action from the emotional impulses. On the 2nd, the Moon meets with Mars, and can trigger literal and metaphorical inflammation.

It’s hard to find time to rest. With the planets all sitting in consecutive signs there is some irritability about the different kinds of energies in the air & ethers. It becomes important for you to do the equivalent of closing the apps on your phone you aren’t using to save battery. Set an intention for time and attention to commit to what it is you are doing for a while. When you are resting you are resting. When you are working you are working. Productive rest makes for productive work.

The Gemini planets start to gather more sociable energies that will actually start to put the attention to personal needs to the test. I see temptation beginning. There is also experience and learning to be had.

We’ve spent the last, maybe 80 years, trying to reconcile for the last, let's say 2000+ years, of patriarchal rule and masculine prioritization. As a collective we strive to take up less space, live sustainably, get in touch with the feminine, and criticize the problems with our Men focused societies. Men trying to take up less space, women trying to take up more— on behalf of social and spiritual justice. Naturally everyone overcorrects (as is tradition) in whichever directions they're inclined to. Crossing invisible boundaries is one of the best ways to find them. I think we are starting to correct the overcorrection.

So these transits connect some of those transpersonal themes within signs (Aries through Gemini) that deal with personal needs. A man revisits a confident performative manner with the consideration for the feminine, but begins to release unwarranted shame for taking up space (again). There is a lot of conversation and measures being taken to find a healthier and sustainable place between assertion and consideration, but people are looking to find their place within that paradigm.

Everyone finding optimal living under the pretense of true authentic fulfilling expression is the ultimate solution that shatters greed and creates healthy growth.
