Electric Sheep
Feb 17 through Mar 02
You can enhance your understanding by applying the Houses these signs and Planets are falling into in your Natal Chart. I am happy to help you with figuring that out, at no cost to you— just shoot me an email!!
Sun Enters Pisces: The Sun moves into the evasive and ethereal Pisces, bringing its heat and pure masculine expression. This ingress will be about 11 AM EST on February 18th, marking Pisces Season where we transition to Spring. Pisces, as a mutable sign, possesses qualities of Winter and Spring. It starts to get wetter and the snowfall turns to sleet rain. In Pisces' process we are to be extremely cautious within our sensitivities to avoid harm or becoming chaotic. During this period we can risk slipping on ice when the water freezes so we walk carefully.
This is an artistic and sympathetic sign. Self-assertion, creativity, and the overall masculine function illuminates our Pisces house. A place where we are either hyper-considerate or truly destructive— such is the sign of Pisces. This will be the time period to start dreaming before the real action starts with the Spring Equinox, Aries season. So dream & manifest with confidence. Action is still difficult here. What do you do when you have to walk on ice? You plant yourself harder. Pisces is a sign that needs help staying grounded without losing that sense of wonder. Bring awareness to your sensitivities to curate optimal dreaming. Pisces process prefers to receive doctrine. Like the Messiah’s who were given instruction from God(s). So we have to live in dignity to this higher calling. Clear minded and pure of spirit. Then we are given a flow of creativity and the assurance of a leader. Fall into a dream, not onto the ice.
Chiron Squares Mars: The final exact square of this aspect peaks on March 26th. The aspect shouldn’t feel present right now, but the results of its recent pressure should be apparent. As we get into mid-March the energetic presence comes back.
Chiron represents our deepest wounds and Mars our sense of action. What occurs here is a tension between wounded Aries nature and Cancerian emotional shedding charged by Mars’ shifting identity and purging processes.
Chiron in Aries means wounded primal abilities. Doubting one’s instincts, weak sense of identity, and aversions to the rawness of life. There could be an aversion to animalistic behaviors or places. Something like being grossed out by blood or animals and being triggered by it. Mars in Cancer is drawing forward action by way of nurturance. So this aspect could look like someone who’s grossed out by blood having to care for someone’s wound.
Furthermore, there are strong chances for overcharged displays of machismo mixed with the emotional intensity of Cancer. We must be aware of irrational behavior motivated by attempts to appear strong, dominant, or worthy. True strength is resilience and the ability to funnel our energy into productive means. As well, strength is seeking what we want in a firm, fair, and level-headed manner; accepting potential backlash or consequences with grace.
As we reconsider our goals and direction in life through this Cancerian emotional shedding we could find we have wounds around our identity, animal nature, and finding motivation. So look out for compensatory behavior and channel energy productively with clear goals based in clear selfhood. This will be more prominent for Cardinal placements [Capricorn, Cancer, Libra, Aries]
Mercury Conjuncts Saturn: Serious talk and slowed movement. This is almost reminiscent of our Pisces season metaphor of walking on ice. There is a need to tread more carefully. With our feet and words. With the use of our hands. Saturn is a cold planet and you risk injury when you move too much before warming up. During the Winter it’s even more important. So the mitigation here is to warm-up and build-up. We won’t be jumping into conversations and errands without consideration. If things seem stiff and awkward just give it time; the alignment of these planets is logical and practical. There is an aversion to wasted movement; wasted energy in general. Don’t let your mental chatter get negative because things are slow, awkward, or cold.
Saturn Squares Jupiter: The expansion in our Gemini house contests with the solidifying of our Pisces house. On December 21, 2020 we had the Saturn Jupiter conjunction. This Square is the First Quarter Phase of this planetary alignment. The sprouting of seeds started in Dec 2020 is followed up with problem solving now. If you were gardening it would be like in July when you are at steps like ensuring the seedlings stand to survive to harvest; maintaining Tomato trestle structures or looking for early signs of powdery mildew. We had the first square on August 19th, 2024, when Jupiter moved through Gemini. In Jupiter's Retrogradation, we saw this aspect perfect on December 24th, 2024. We will see the final Saturn Square Jupiter on June 15th, 2025.
As this week progresses Mercury will enter Aquarius, and as the ruler of Gemini, Mercury’s movement will shift the nature of Jupiter in Gemini. The expansion of our Gemini house whose nature is objective and carefree will be able to actualize itself within the inventive approach of Aquarius. Jupiter and Mercury will both be in air signs which will provide more harmony between them. This Aquarius energy can better allow Jupiter in Gemini to utilize an objective, open-minded, and social value set. We will go more into Mercury in Aquarius later on.
On the Transit: Reflect on the relationship between your growth and your longevity. Growth demands we enter into novel arenas, and longevity demands will reinforce existing arenas. How are these two parts of life showing conflict? How do they require problem solving and reconciliation? Again, this should be relevant to things that began in December 2020.
The Gemini house is expressed as the teacher/student, the speaker/listener; through communication, channeling, and learning. It is objective, and we are expanding here. We are exploring different perspectives with an objective view. We are allowing ourselves to be aware we are wearing a mask. Check the relevant [Gemini] house. The Pisces House is expressed as a healer/victim/sick or the artist/artistic observer. The Pisces expression can require solitude, spirituality, or shows signs of escapism or substance use. This Pisces House is experiencing solidification, obstacles, and structure. Check that house as well.
How are responsibilities to our emotional healing causing delays or obstructions ? Or is channeled artistic expression conflicting with our search for new knowledge and experience through communication and/or learning? As Jupiter rules Pisces what we are discovering is how adopting specific attitudes toward growth despite their can help us resist falling into the need to escape life’s realities. We create our own reality, so why should we have to escape?
Saturn Trines Mars: This aspect has been phasing in and out due to the Mars retrograde back into Cancer. The first exact on Sep 30, 2024 followed by the most recent peak on February 9th during the Retrograde phase. Then it won’t actually peak again till April 4th, 2025. Though the power of this aspect remains present; building slowly. Saturn in Pisces with a flowing and harmonious connection with Mars in Cancer, both water signs. The preservation of our mental health through our life’s structures is able to connect well with this reconsideration of our familial bonds through changes in our goals, actions, and identity. So poor mental health practices lead to emotional chaos. These watery processes have a natural alignment. Pisces dissolving the ego to align with universal love or just new cultural context– Cancer shedding old emotional impressions/engaging new impressions that change the foundation of the ego and establish new bonds.
Mars Stations Direct: The night of February 23rd (EST), the planet of War & Assertion ends its retrograde. The Martian principles of action, decisiveness, and the use of our energy are directed outward and forward. We leave this period in which we consider the directionality of our goals and start charging toward them again. We will be more energetic and decisive, although with Mars still in Cancer till April the quality of these Martian functions are diminished.
Mercury Trines Mars: From February 22-24th this aspect will be at its strongest. Agility, communication, and productivity can be elevated by the haste of Mars. We should be able to keep from stumbling over our feet, like running downhill. With Mars retrograde the motivation for communication and movement will initially highlight these goal and action redirections we have made. Then on February 23rd, Mars goes direct and we settle into our orientation of self-assertion with a connection to our logical minds. This should be nice for aligning goals with routines. In water signs there will be more speaking and “doing” from a place of connection and care. For ourselves and our familial bonds. In consideration of our boundaries and needs.
New Moon in Pisces: This New Moon is about half a degree from qualifying to be an Eclipse. However, that would be 3 Eclipses in this first round and there are only ever two from what I’ve seen and read. These little details are what make me believe in a higher power. These patterns are evidence of the universe as a living entity.
The Dark Moon phase leading up to the New Moon will be the closing down of the recent Full Moon in Leo from February 12th. Those culminations turning down into new intention; the celebratory release making way for new visions.
This New Moon in Pisces will be a practice in dreaming realities within subtle parameters. There are forces of logic and structure lightly influencing this dreamy New Moon and we will feel weight or support depending on how it hits our natal promises. Your reality is a projection of all that has molded you until this point. Take this time to plan dream seeds that will inspire you into bliss. To perpetuate that inspiration through a connection to real parameters and the value of longevity.
Venus Stations Retrograde: The evening of March 1st (EST) the planet of Love & Harmony begins its retrograde calling in a period of reconsideration and internalization of Venusian principles. This will be at 10˚ of Aries, with more relevance to Cardinal signs [Cancer, Capricorn, Libra, Aries]. Even stronger for placements around 10˚ of those signs.Venus will enter back into Pisces the morning of March 27th; and station Direct at 24˚ of Pisces the night of April 12th.
We may bring back old aesthetics, revisit old attachments, and old partners. We will see a reconsideration of partnerships, money making, aesthetics, and keeping the body feeling good. With Venus in Aries we see themes of identity, the primal, the animalistic, the raw, and using our instincts. What do we gravitate towards before we have time to think about it? Is there a perfectionism and idealization that actually diminishes our ability to get aroused by life?
Once Venus enters back into Pisces, she will be expressing herself with more contentment and we can tap into a more graceful reconsideration of these Venusian principles.
Mercury Conjuncts Neptune: Peaking March 2nd at about 11:30 AM EST; this aspect will bring both inspiration and confusion to the mind. As confusion comes from the root words for “with” and “melt” this Neptunian word dissolves boundaries and can open our brains to new connections. The problems then can be how distracting and foggy that can make situations which require precision and routine. We may also just find ourselves seeking mental distortions, spiritual connection, creative expression, substance use, and escapism. With Mercury and Neptune our thinking and nerves get wrapped up with the collective emotional and spiritual space. So this is a good time for channeling something from the ethers.
As this is a conjunction the two planets make for a New Moon intention period. What is this, roughly year-long cycle, going to be for how our mental and mundane-life patterns are impacted by our collective emotions, mental distortions, and accepted realities?
Sun Squares Jupiter: The King and his High Priest will be in this tense aspect peaking the afternoon of March 2nd EST. We will likely see something related to the illegality and immorality of the Trump Administration contested by the courts. As well as the analysis of what they are trying to do. The general Republican process of gutting social programs and the public discourse that will ensue. Lots of opinions everywhere.
*The date ranges reflect the Moon being a majority in the given sign during a 5am-11:59pm EST range. Moon Signs naturally set each other up for a successful procession through life's subtle developments. The Moon functions as a catalyst and distributor of the energies from the other Celestial bodies. You might take an extra note of when the Moon is entering important Houses in your Chart, like your First House/Rising Sign when you will be closely connected with your emotions.
Moon in Libra - Feb 17: This beginning of the 17th will see the Moon passing through the critical degrees of Libra where you might feel a bit of manic optimism. This is a Moon that will arouse you. This Moon will also be coming off the previous day’s triggering energy during its aspect to the Chiron-Mars Square. Where I spoke about compensatory machismo in the previous edition.
Moon in Scorpio - Feb 17-19: The Moon in Scorpio can be dangerous, but rewarding. The emotional nature seeks answers and exposé. Riveting and risky, this Moon can also arouse you. This will also be around the Third Quarter Moon phase from the February 12th Full Moon where we could feel some longing or release from that culminating experience.
Moon in Sagittarius - Feb 19-22: The Moon in fire signs also points toward retaining optimism and confidence. In Sagittarius we seek to stimulate the mind and feel pride in our intellect to support emotional stasis. This is a good time for creative brainstorming and exploration.
Moon in Capricorn - Feb 22-24: These Moons are more stoic. Capricorn is far from the Mothering energy of the Moon. These Moons are good for getting the hard slow work done. We may neglect our bodies so it is important to consciously bring in some warmth.
Moon in Aquarius - Feb 25-27: These Moons are also Stoic, but the energy is better applied toward the innovative use of the intellect. These Moons are good for group efforts and practical creativity. Like branding or healing using the power of the mind.
Moon in Pisces - Feb 27-28: Our Dark & New Moon period. Pisces Moon can leave us feeling vulnerable or exposed. These Moons, like water Moons in general, are good for solitude or trusting circles. Pisces process is idealizing and purifying. We will feel the presence of Mercury and Saturn bringing in that logic and pragmatism. You will feel all that resides within you; choose what will stay.
Moon in Aries - Mar 1-2: Aries Moons bring urgency and haste to the emotional nature. With this Moon hitting the freshly Retrograde Venus there could be some catalyzing of that manifestation. An old flame, bringing back old trends, or tapping into our primal sense of arousal.
There is a lot going on these next two weeks. We have Mars going direct, Venus going retrograde; we get back more action, but less arousal to do so. There are a bunch of transits through, to, and from planets in Pisces. All this commotion through a vulnerable and easily influenced consciousness.
I think Aquarius is usually given a lot of associations that are actually Piscean. Pisces is the Mad Scientist in my opinion. Aquarius is a creative sign that highlights the real innovators. Aquarians, really air signs, will sell you that which a Piscean, really water signs, brought forward from the ethers of infinity.
Pisces processes demand solitude in order to get the clarity to create reality from the blurry dreamscape. Like Einstein (a Pisces Sun) discovering the Theory of Relativity. Pisces is a place where we are sensitive. To other’s words and their energies; to foods and allergens.
This week as the Sun comes into Pisces and illuminates this House. I would request that you honor your sensitivities and commit yourself to purifying your “Self”. What is it that gives you meaning? Is this sustainable? We are living in such a massively triggering time with no break in sight from the newly appointed political administration. Consider how much easier you are to manipulate when you succumb to your escapism. To victim mentalities, worrying, drug use, or self-pity.
There is a way to be devoted to good, informed, and at ease. It demands we always remember we are temporary stardust. It demands we never start to feed into victim states and pity like any other addiction. This is where we find meaning, find purified directionality, and continue forward in healthy routines.
Also, I am not saying be stone cold sober. Just remember it’s a treat. Whatever it is. We are walking a fine line of clarifying the self and losing it entirely. Trust in your intuition and listen to your boundaries.
