Break “Me” down.

Feb 03 through Feb 16

You can enhance your understanding by applying the Houses these signs and Planets are falling into in your Natal Chart. I am happy to help you with figuring that out, at no cost to you— just shoot me an email!!

Chiron Square Mars: This aspect I haven’t been reporting on, but I feel called to do so at least this week. The night of February 3rd this aspect peaks. Chiron represents our deepest wounds and Mars our sense of action. What occurs here is a tension between wounded Aries nature and Cancerian emotional shedding charged by Mars’ shifting identity and purging processes. There are strong chances for overcharged displays of machismo mixed with the emotional intensity of Cancer. We must be aware of irrational behavior motivated by attempts to appear strong, dominant, or worthy. True strength is resilience and the ability to funnel our energy into productive means. As well, strength is seeking what we want in a firm, fair, and level-headed manner; accepting potential backlash or consequences with grace. As we reconsider our goals and direction in life through this Cancerian emotional shedding we could find we have wounds around our identity and finding motivation. So look out for compensatory behavior and channel energy productively with clear goals based in clear selfhood. This will be more prominent for Cardinal placements [Capricorn, Cancer, Libra, Aries]

Saturn Square Jupiter: The expansion in our Gemini house contests with the solidifying of our Pisces house. On December 21, 2020 we had the Saturn Jupiter conjunction. This Square is the First Quarter Phase of this planetary alignment. The sprouting of seeds started in Dec 2020 is followed up with problem solving now. If you were gardening it would be like in July when you are at steps like ensuring the seedlings stand to survive to harvest; maintaining Tomato trestle structures or looking for early signs of powdery mildew.  We had the first square on August 19th, 2024, when Jupiter moved through Gemini. In Jupiter's Retrogradation, we saw this aspect perfect on December 24th, 2024. We will see the final Saturn Square Jupiter on June 15th, 2025.

As this week progresses Mercury will enter Aquarius, and as the ruler of Gemini, Mercury’s movement will shift the nature of Jupiter in Gemini. The expansion of our Gemini house whose nature is objective and carefree will be able to actualize itself within the inventive approach of Aquarius. Jupiter and Mercury will both be in air signs which will provide more harmony between them. This Aquarius energy can better allow Jupiter in Gemini to utilize an objective, open-minded, and social value set. We will go more into Mercury in Aquarius later on.

On the Transit: Reflect on the relationship between your growth and your longevity. Growth demands we enter into novel arenas, and longevity demands will reinforce existing arenas. How are these two parts of life showing conflict? How do they require problem solving and reconciliation? Again, this should be relevant to things that began in December 2020.

The Gemini house is expressed as the teacher/student, the speaker/listener; through communication, channeling, and learning. It is objective, and we are expanding here. We are exploring different perspectives with an objective view. We are allowing ourselves to be aware we are wearing a mask. Check the relevant [Gemini] house. The Pisces House is expressed as a healer/victim/sick or the artist/artistic observer. The Pisces expression can require solitude, spirituality, or shows signs of escapism or substance use. This Pisces House is experiencing solidification, obstacles, and structure. Check that house as well.

How are responsibilities to our emotional healing causing delays or obstructions ? Or is channeled artistic expression conflicting with our search for new knowledge and experience through communication and/or learning? As Jupiter rules Pisces what we are discovering is how adopting specific attitudes toward growth despite their can help us resist falling into the need to escape life’s realities. We create our own reality, so why should we have to escape?

Venus Conjunct Neptune: This aspect began on January 20th, and peaked on February 1st. Now, Venus will leave Pisces on February 4th putting the planet in an “out-of-sign” conjunction where the energy of the aspect is less perceptible and more complex.

This planetary cycle has reset, thus we have renewed and intentioned for the relevant associations. Venus is considered to be the lower resonance of Neptune. They both have associations with art, harmony, love, and beauty. In this case, Venus is love where Neptune is Universal Love. Venus tells us about our artistic aesthetics, Neptune tells us about our generation’s emotional journey and how we will be inspired creatively through spiritual and emotional growth. So in this case, our personal and short-term path toward physiological harmony, artistic inspiration, spirituality, and loving exchange realigns with the long-term path towards these same kinds of subjects.

This occurs with Neptune comfortably in its home of Pisces; Venus in its detriment, Aries, where it functions poorly. The ego dissolving energy of Neptune will influence this Venus in Aries toward more selflessness. Venus in Aries will have us more aroused by self-interested and instinctual matters. You see the contradiction. This more primal expression of Venus thus will be much more chaotic with Neptune imposing less clarity on these impulsive desires.

Venus enters Aries: The planet of love & beauty will enter Aries at about 3 AM EST on February 4th. Arousal becomes more accessible through appreciating our primal and instinctual urges. Arousal also becomes more impulsive; rising and falling in manners that might not be so convenient. This Goddess figure of Venus rules marriage, social customs, art, and beauty. When Venus enters Aries we must allow ourselves to see the beauty in power and a raw state; unrefined ore and crystal. A potent example would be period sex, given Aries association with blood. As well, because arousals are more sudden, Venus has a harder time being strategic and diplomatic as it prefers. There is either the bravery to take a chance or the ability to withhold urges. Our Aries house will receive some form of a gift, but it might feel unorthodox in the case of this detriment planet.

Jupiter turns Direct: The planet of expansion and understanding ends its retrograde just before dawn on February 4th. The retrograde started on Oct. 9, 2024. This expansion and growth in the Gemini house ends its review and reconsideration period. We will settle into a given perspective and continue growing in this direction. Again Jupiter in Gemini is a detriment planet. So we can take this concept of unorthodox and inventive approaches to planetary functions. Philosophizing objectivity. Expansion without the entire picture. Gemini experiences are open-ended, and open-beginninged really. So to grow in this Gemini-esque manner we accept an incomplete picture. There lies a need for trust which Jupiter can struggle with. We are learning on this path, and do not have a fixed destination as our beacon. The destination is who we might grow into by the end. When Jupiter enters Cancer and the nature of our path is altered.

Saturn trine Mars: This aspect has been building since mid-January and peaks on February 9th. Saturn in Pisces with a flowing and harmonious connection with Mars in Cancer, both water signs. The preservation of our mental health through our life’s structures is able to connect well with this reconsideration of our familial bonds through changes in identity. This aspect has come back since Mars’ transit through Cancer around Oct 2024. These watery processes have a natural alignment. Pisces dissolving the ego to align with universal love or just new cultural context– Cancer shedding old emotional impressions/engaging new impressions that change the foundation of the ego and establish new bonds.

Sun & Mercury Square Uranus: The conscious awareness of this aspect will grow as these weeks progress with Mercury and the Sun making their exact aspects on February 10th & 11th respectively. The Sun & Mercury in Aquarius is masculine imposing of progressive/outcasted ideas with the support of logistics and messaging. This masculine imposition creates tension with the Uranian liberation and disruption of our collective value systems. So we have an uncommon/outcasted leadership putting pressure on changing the way we approach money, comfort, materialism, and self-care. The Queer community lets each other know that they cannot stay in a constant state of anger and upset due to the Republican hold on American politics. They must engage self-care within their community oriented lifestyles. Conversely, we see Trump who I would argue is still outside of the norm in the political atmosphere. He’s certainly not the first racist white man, but his voter base considers him an outsider to politics. He is just cutting out the lobbyist and putting the CEO right in the White House. So a signification here would be Trump making decisions which deregulate environmental protections and integrate cryptocurrency.

Saturn Conjunct Neptune: This aspect won’t actually go exact until February 20th, 2026 where it peaks in Aries. The energetic combination of these planets will muddle until then as they tease the conjunction. At worst this alignment looks like dangers through unseen methods. Poisoning the water supply, gas leaks, etc. At best it is a truthful and strong foundation to the values of universal love and spiritual purity. Either way new structures occur through non-material or subtle means. We will see the continued breakdown of identity (Aries) through these lenses of gender, politics, and beliefs. We will have to really come together as a collective to support each other and if we don’t, succumb to unseen forces. The last time we saw this aspect was November 13th, 1989. Yesterdate Here is an article about that date when 65 Indian miners were trapped in a coal mine due to explosions that caused flooding. Several men drowned, but a majority were saved.

Structural breakdown releasing waters. Saturn brings forward the truth, lest we become so dejected from life that we stiffen into a dried husk. Neptune breaks down our emotional barriers to allow us to integrate into society in love and peace, lest we become chaotic through constant escapism.

Mercury Cazimi: Mercury will be within 1˚ of the Sun, and thus will be supercharged. This peaks the morning of February 9th, but I find you’ll be feeling it as February 8th progresses through most of the 9th. Mercury’s lens of logic and mental acuity will imbue our minds. These days will be better for general use of the mind, but will have the Aquarius charge to it. So we might find ourselves feeling really innovative about how we organize our lives and how we could allow our routines to channel more authenticity.

Full Moon in Leo: Occurring February 12th, at 9 AM EST, this Full Moon will be the culmination from the January 29th New Moon in Aquarius. You might reflect on those planted seeds, and the growing pains from the recent Taurus Moon. We have Juno with the Sun bringing a conscious awareness to themes of partnerships and their expectations. Mercury will be close to the Sun increasing the logical mind’s awareness, and thus the nervous system. As well Mercury will bring our routines into consideration. We will really be feeling here, and may find ourselves up the previous night. So I encourage you to work out extra energy February 11th, or just plan to use the energy into that night. This Full Moon will have Uranus tightly Squared in Taurus. So there will be an unexpected element related to values and/or valuables. The Leo Aquarius axis is the performer and audience. Audiences can always tell if someone is being genuine; sincerity in presentation is the only guarantee of true success and keeping on our path. The Uranus in Taurus energy will offer some insight into how our natural ability and resources can help us continue down this path.

Mercury enters Pisces: The planet of logic and agility enters Pisces on February 14th, bright and early. This is considered Mercury’s Fall; the sign the planet has the most trouble with and demands more inventive ways of accomplishing its functions. Pisces is a sign which receives information into a dreamscape. Mercury has difficulty being logical and objective when information is processed through the emotional, spiritual, and energetic spheres as much as it is processed through the logical human mind. What happens then is the thinking mind must be willing to accept reflections on situations which may be incomprehensible and that we simply are a vessel for greater forces. This can be as heady as being driven by spirits or as simple as a song altering our perception of logic as it changes our mood. The logic isn’t so logical as the mind is tapped into metaphysical forces with more potency.

*The date ranges reflect the Moon being a majority in the given sign during a 5am-11:59pm EST range. Moon Signs naturally set each other up for a successful procession through life's subtle developments. The Moon functions as a catalyst and distributor of the energies from the other Celestial bodies. You might take an extra note of when the Moon is entering important Houses in your Chart, like your First House/Rising Sign when you will be closely connected with your emotions.

Moon in Aries - Feb 03: This moon exasperates urgency and instinct through the emotional body. This Moon will be with Chiron triggering the Chiron Mars Square. Again, be wary of yours and others compensatory machismo triggered by emotional shedding. Aries is about warrior spirit; let’s lean into that image of an honorable samurai rather than a rouge bandit.

Moon in Taurus - Feb 03-05: The Moon’s exaltation; home away from home. These Moon’s will encourage pleasure seeking. Taurus Moons are better for indulgences or self-care depending on whether you are trying to find homeostasis or cash-in on built-up physiological equilibrium with some “bad” habits. This Moon will be the First Quarter phase after the Aquarius New Moon from January 29th, presenting some sort of problem solving or growing pains related to that planted seed.

Moon in Gemini - Feb 06-07: These moons engage more communication and messaging. So this could be literal or metaphysical. There is more movement as there is more desire for stimulation. This can be good for something like doing your taxes. This will be the first Gemini Moon since Jupiter went direct and may present us with some event or clarity regarding our continued growth in the Gemini House.

Moon in Cancer - Feb 08-10: The Moon’s home. Where emotional shedding and reset is the most potent. Lunar spaces give us lunacy, so don’t be surprised if it’s harder to stick to an itinerary. There can also be a low energy with the Moon so strong, but more likely your energy will be sporadic. This moon will be with Mars and we can expect literal or metaphorical inflammation. What emotional impressions are you shedding related to your identity?

Moon in Leo - Feb 10-12: The emotional nature becomes more focused on protecting pride. There is a playfulness here that is good for channeling creativity that is inspired by the emotions. Again, this will also be a full moon. So this playfulness will be a good chance to discover what feels natural when you feel perceived. How to feel confident with eyes on you.

Moon in Virgo - Feb 12-14: These moons bring up nervous energy. The emotional center requires some productivity and becomes more reactive to imperfections. Dogs tend to behave better when they are given a job and then get that sense of accomplishment; it eases their instinct driven brains. Treat the brain with a bit of that task satisfaction expectation. With the planets in Pisces we may likely have that feeling there are expectations to meet based on the subjective sense of perfection imposed by another or by our own nervous expectations. We may find ourselves on both sides of that situation.

Moon in Libra - Feb 15-16: These moons become more emotionally aware of balance— in terms of beauty, justice, and spatial harmony (like feng shui). This moon will also engage a T-Square with Chiron and Mars. Where we may follow up mediation and new customs around this sense of worthiness we are trying to secure.

So, is there a self? Is it an illusion? Is there a real self or simply another illusion? If we can project, isn't that evidence of a self?

When thinking, in cerebral self-examination the self is not cohesive. There is no fixed self. It is a culmination of everything that you’ve experienced up until the moment of action where your energetic signature is projected. Once that projection stops the circumstances have forever been altered (no matter how slight) and the self changes.

The question “Who am I?” is only partially answered by words. I am my name, my career, my skillset, my lineage, my reputation. It depends on the circumstances what comes forward. The important thing: What we do in that moment should make us feel fulfilled and be intentioned for the greater good.

Be yourself, be better, be kind.

This week speaks to authenticity’s role in goodness. We must put ourselves first and the better we are able to do so, the better we can be to each other. When considering your needs and what direction you feel you want to go in, remember to answer this with your body just as much as your mind.

This is why I often speak to moderating indulgences and doing spiritual practices. A muddled mind and spirit is harder to follow into bliss, goodness, and true self expression. Though enjoy your life. Moderation.
