Mercury begins Retrograde Pre-Shadow: The rate at which Mercury appears to travel across the sky begins to slow for the next two weeks. Then on April 1st Mercury will go Retrograde. During this Shadow period we do experience a light version of the usual Retrograde shenanigans. The way I like to describe Mercury retrograde is that it greatly reduces the brain’s ability to engage repetitive behaviors without letting you know. So you go to do your rituals of driving down the same roads, making the same coffee, and having the same social interactions; the instinctual motor function is gone, but the instinctual mental memory still engages the habit. I hope that makes sense, reach out if you’d like further elaboration. So you go to do these usual functions, but you spill coffee, you make a turn too wide, or you miscommunicate. The Mercury Retrograde requires us to become more present with our daily rituals. We might find dramas, trouble, and disruptions that force a change in our routine; a worst case example is a bad car collision that damages the vehicle and maybe even harms us. Daily flow is restarted. So start to notice during this shadow period the habits that have become mindless, and make an effort to be present and to double check. You might even have contingency plans for situations like a potential delayed flight.
Venus Conjunct Saturn: This aspect perfects on the evening of March 21st. Venusian matters are engaged more seriously, with more awareness of consequence. Relating, appreciating, loving, indulging. Enjoyment, diplomatic affairs, the use of funds and resources. We may feel more prudish or reserved in our engagements. We become more aware of the long-term effects in diplomatic situations. When engaging in love or friendship be sure to give extra time to foreplay or the building up. Saturn brings a cold and dry nature that needs to be warmed up. So then it also becomes natural to determine an engagement just isn’t worth it.
This also will give us a reset to the Venus Saturn cycle. A Dark Moon into New Moon renewal of long-term relationships, allocation of funds and resources, and the long-term stability of diplomatic affairs. Your actions in these manners will set an intention, so move with intent.
Mercury Conjunct Chiron: This aspect brings forth both healing and harming words. Both healing and harming habits. Both the healing and harming of practices; so how something can be medicine or poison like the use of Herbalism. In Aries, this dynamics is applied toward finding independence, finding our voice, or domination. Be wary of dominating voices that seek to attack the weak spots. Be aware of healing hands that seek to soothe wounds.
Sun Enters Aries!!: March 20th begins Aries season and the Spring Equinox. The soil should be warm enough to breakthrough. We may plant our seeds and sprouts. We begin to build up for the warm days. We move from the Cold and Wet of Winter, to the Warm and Wet of Spring. Wetness fertilizes to nurture the soil. Warmth allows for more movement and growth. It is the season for claiming our sovereignty and to project our voice.
Sun Sextile Pluto: We get our first major follow up phase from the Sun Pluto conjunction on January 20th, 2024. The Waxing Crescent phase of this planetary dynamic. This planetary dynamic brings the taboo, occult, disturbed, and hidden desires to the stage; into the light. There is more engagement between the unconscious desires (individual and collective) with the stark consciousness of the Sun. This phase will begin the process of gathering information and brainstorming about the intentions set at the conjunction, January 20th, 2024.
Mars enters Pisces: Persists more passive aggression, but also more imaginative and dreamy potential for engaging our goals, self-assertion, and achieving our desires that we’re conceived by Venus. Yes, Venus births desire, but Mars gives us the energy to go for it. Pisces will create a blurry atmosphere, like being underwater where all light is refracted, and all imagery is blurred. This blurry vision for Mars is what opens up the potential for creativity towards our Martian affairs. Self-assertion, goals, desire.
Jupiter Conjunct Uranus: We’ll be checking in with this aspect as it will not perfect until April 20th, 2024. For now we’ll just talk about the basic meaning. Jupiter with Uranus is a joining of Expansion and breakthrough. This propels us toward the future as Uranus dismantles the structures holding back expansion; Jupiter supports our ability to understand the awakening put forth by Uranus. Technological genius, the breaking of borders and political boundaries. Dismantling of the current Jupiter/Uranus dynamic that was set in Pisces (January 2011). This Conjunction occurs in Taurus (April 2024). In Taurus, we see themes of breakthrough and political/ethical reorientation based on literal Earth structures, the possession of resources, the ability to engage the pleasure senses, and the succession of sovereignty.
Venus conjunct Neptune: This aspect will only just begin to truly gain strength at the end of this week, but will bring forth more imagination and fogginess to the already mystical setting of Pisces. This is incredibly dreamy for Venusian affairs. Relating, loving, appreciating, using funds, resources, and skills. Watch out for irresponsible spending, playing the victim in a relationship, falling into the savior role with another, lies or deception in diplomatic affairs. Saturn can help bring more seriousness and responsible instinct to this pile-up of Planets in Pisces, but as this aspect builds up next week Saturn will lose as much influence. Don’t be fooled.

The Moon in Cancer Mar 18-19: Be the crab. Protect, flee, or shed as needed. Supports the homebody behavior. This Cancer Moon may conflict with a desire to move around. You might go somewhere private, or try to see those you are close to. Call your siblings, but don’t start a fight if you can. This Moon Square the Mercury Chiron conjunction, so be wary of words and hands which aim to harm. Be open to finding tender space with the right people.
The Moon in Leo Mar 19-21: This Moon may also engage the Mercury Chiron aspect, and with Leo here we may be inclined to or experience more of that brash dogma. This Moon is playful and generous.
The Moon in Virgo Mar 22-24: A Moon will have more nervous energy and need to be of service or criticism. Perfectionism. This Moon will oppose the pile up in Pisces and could cause overwhelm. Aim to use up this energy productively, do not overdo a sense of perfectionism, and refrain from ignoring your needs till the very end.
The Moon in Libra 24: Libra Moons engage more need to connect with others and engage with the inner socialite. The perfectionism of the Virgo Moon turns into more of an aesthetic idealizing. Like the difference between cleaning a house and redesigning the space. It is appreciative of those it is emotionally connected to.
This Moon will be a Lunar Eclipse on March 25th @ 3 AM EST! A weaker eclipse with low visibility. We will see the first follow ups from the Libra Season eclipses on October 14 & 28th of 2024. The Sun is now in Aries, highlighting both the North Node and the Aries house. There is more attention to growth and pushing the comfort zone of our Aries house. Aries characteristics of domination, independence, and originality.

A lot going on this week and even bigger events are coming up with the major Total Solar eclipse on April 8th, the Jupiter Uranus conjunction on April 20th. This week presents chances for unwarranted friendly fire or slips of the tongue and hands. Mindfulness and the goal of Love. Patience and grace. We continue on the chance to reimagine parts of our lives; particularly the Pisces, Aries, and Taurus houses.
