You can enhance your understanding by applying the Houses these signs and Planets are falling into in your Natal Chart. I am happy to help you with figuring that out, at no cost to you— just shoot me an email!!
ONGOING TRANSITS:
Saturn Squares Jupiter: This aspect will gradually increase in strength before its exaction mid-June. This will peak after Saturn enters and Jupiter enters Cancer, so the ongoing experience of this transit’s multiple peaking points will end with a dramatic shift into new areas and expressions in our lives. Once we get closer to June and the planets are moving signs we will get into more specifics.
The expansion in our Gemini house contrasts with the solidifying of our Pisces house. On December 21, 2020 we had the Saturn Jupiter conjunction. This Square is the First Quarter Phase of this planetary alignment. The sprouting of seeds started in Dec 2020 is followed up with problem solving now. If you were gardening it would be like in July when you are at steps like ensuring the seedlings stand to survive to harvest; maintaining Tomato trestle structures or looking for early signs of powdery mildew. We had the first square on August 19th, 2024, when Jupiter moved through Gemini. In Jupiter's Retrogradation, we saw this aspect perfect on December 24th, 2024. We will see the final Saturn Square Jupiter on June 15th, 2025.
As this week progresses Mercury will enter Aquarius, and as the ruler of Gemini, Mercury’s movement will shift the nature of Jupiter in Gemini. The expansion of our Gemini house whose nature is objective and carefree will be able to actualize itself within the inventive approach of Aquarius. Jupiter and Mercury will both be in air signs which will provide more harmony between them. This Aquarius energy can better allow Jupiter in Gemini to utilize an objective, open-minded, and social value set. We will go more into Mercury in Aquarius later on.
On the Transit: Reflect on the relationship between your growth and your longevity. Growth demands we enter into novel arenas, and longevity demands will reinforce existing arenas. How are these two parts of life showing conflict? How do they require problem solving and reconciliation? Again, this should be relevant to things that began in December 2020.
The Gemini house is expressed as the teacher/student, the speaker/listener; through communication, channeling, and learning. It is objective, and we are expanding here. We are exploring different perspectives with an objective view. We are allowing ourselves to be aware we are wearing a mask. Check the relevant [Gemini] house. The Pisces House is expressed as a healer/victim/sick or the artist/artistic observer. The Pisces expression can require solitude, spirituality, or shows signs of escapism or substance use. This Pisces House is experiencing solidification, obstacles, and structure. Check that house as well.
How are responsibilities to our emotional healing causing delays or obstructions ? Or is channeled artistic expression conflicting with our search for new knowledge and experience through communication and/or learning? As Jupiter rules Pisces what we are discovering is how adopting specific attitudes toward growth despite their can help us resist falling into the need to escape life’s realities. We create our own reality, so why should we have to escape?
Saturn Trines Mars: This aspect has been phasing in and out due to the Mars retrograde back into Cancer. The first exact on Sep 30, 2024 followed by the most recent peak on February 9th during the Retrograde phase. Then it won’t actually peak again till April 4th, 2025. Though the power of this aspect remains present; building slowly. Saturn in Pisces with a flowing and harmonious connection with Mars in Cancer, both water signs. The preservation of our mental health through our life’s structures is able to connect well with this reconsideration of our familial bonds through changes in our goals, actions, and identity. So poor mental health practices lead to emotional chaos. These watery processes have a natural alignment. Pisces dissolving the ego to align with universal love or just new cultural context– Cancer shedding old emotional impressions/engaging new impressions that change the foundation of the ego and establish new bonds.
Sun Squares Mars: This aspect will begin gaining strength April 4th, and increase over the next two weeks. It will not peak until April 20th, with the Sun in Taurus and Mars in Leo.
This aspect is described by strong compulsions of willpower. Leadership and creativity will be inspired by our raw emotions. We could begin to feel energy building and will have to be ready to use that up. This tension builds with the Sun in Aries and Mars in Cancer; between the archetypal expressions of selfhood and the family unit. The individual and the tribe. You and your ancestors. Your sense of physiological and emotional security.
With this aspect peaking in Taurus and Leo the major effect transfers from Cardinal Signs (Cancer, Capricorn, Aries, Libra) to Fixed Signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius). We change themes with Taurus and Leo. The tension to remain comfortable or go out and perform. The pressure to take your abilities and resources and actually do something with them. To take risks to the reputation or for returns on investment.
We will be compelled to act and perform and put our talents to use. After being compelled to be decisive from an emotional place.
Saturn Sextile Uranus: During this two week period Saturn and Uranus will gradually separate the tightness of this aspect. We will be able to better reconstruct under the support purview of the “old ways” . Like having an elder over the shoulder as we continue through the lifetime journey of self-liberation that is our duty and birthright. There will still be this sense that as things break down they are able to come together with a bit more grace than usual. So the jarring experiences are still there, but most people will find a safety net there. *Venus will be joined in with this Sextile and is part of why there is an added layer of grace. So we hope to be able to put things back together with more beauty or consideration.
NEW TRANSITS:
Mercury Re-Enters Aries: On April 16th, The God of Swiftness falls under the jurisdiction of Mars, the God of War. The Warrior spirit imbues the logical mind leading to sharpness and impulse. A double-edged tongue. Mercury is Re-Entering Aries, so we will revisit something that we engaged with briefly during the first half of March when it had first entered Aries. Mercury will be here until May 10th, 2025.
Neptune-Mercury Conjunction: We may find the beginning of Mercury a bit fuzzy. The principles of Universe Oneness and Logical Analysis gather, peaking on April 17th. We may find our thoughts and communication more easily influenced by the collective wavelength, emotions, and spiritual signatures. Watching out for infections or metaphorical infectiousness. Especially if you have placements around 0˚ of Aries, Cancer, Capricorn, and Libra, or the very late degrees of the Mutable Signs (Pisces, Virgo, Sagittarius, Gemini).
Mars Enters Leo: The God of War makes it’s re-entrance into Leo on April 18th, after a very long transit through Cancer. Mars had entered Leo on November 3rd, and re-entered Cancer on January 6th with the Mars Retrograde. So we can expect to revisit themes from that date range. Mars is about self-assertion, action, and goal-orientation. In Leo, Mars can function well, but it is led by the desire to create & perform. Thus we need to preserve circumstances that support our creativity. Settings, routines, mindsets, and relationships all impacted by a new self-preservation basis: creative will.
Neptune-Mars Trine: This flowing aspect goes exactly on April 19th. This aspect will sneak up on us, but trines tend to be more harmonious. The initial shift of Mars into Leo will come with a sense of idealism. Idealism inspires us and delivers visions of what life could be like. Those ideals can lead into despair for life as it is, or the unlikelihood of that vision coming true. Ideals can lead us to overconfidence and delusion. The despair may lead us to escapism and the overconfidence can lead us into trouble. OR ideals make our dreams come true, and whichever of those three options is truly up to you. So here we get the full scope of what Neptune can bring.
Expect to find a boosting idealism to your goal orientation and dream up some creative works. Lean into the idealism while the energy is there, and then remain grounded with the gift of inspiration. Let idealism inspire your direction rather than cause you to muddy up your mind. Neptune is ultimately about universal connectedness; how can your goals be more based in the natural progression from self-love to universal love?
Sun Enters Taurus; the height of Spring: Solaris steps into lush Taurus the afternoon of April 19th ET. This is the height of the Spring when we are comfy and settled into the season. It’s usually rainy, we are getting our gardens going, it’s much warmer. We often get to wear our in-between season outfits that we love so much.
On the functional note, the Sun will illuminate, and warm our Taurus house. A place where we prioritize comfort. Physiological comfort, but all comfort in process and expectations. A bull, like all animals, does not want to be surprised and does not take these things kindly. So expect to focus on refining processes and creating comfort both at ease and in motion.
Sun-Pluto-Mars T-Square: I’ve added an image of this aspect below near the House Significations image. You can see a red triangle indicating the aspects between these three planets, marked by their symbols. Here is a webpage with the symbols defined.
This aspect perfects on April 23rd. Calling much attention to power dynamics between leaders. This calls attention to the compromises and tensions we endure to achieve our desires. This will deal with the hidden and the taboo. We may likely have to engage with uncomfortable situations. At the same time we can really align with ourselves and what we want. We will make decisions from that space of intense clear desire.
This alignment will feel pronounced for those with Early fixed placements (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius). Be prepared to take action toward prioritizing space that supports your comfort and your authentic expression.
Venus-Saturn Conjunction: We get this final exact of this 3-time transit on April 24th. With the first conjunction on January 18th and the second on April 7th (in retrograde motion), there is a timing pattern that I would encourage you to reflect on. Themes of possession consolidation, partnerships reviewed for longevity, physiological stiffness, efficiency and effectiveness in the use of resources, longevity in beauty, compromises in sobriety or indulgence. Realistically we’ve felt this transit, in varied strength, for quite awhile now; most of the year so far. So this will be the final peak. Then Venus enters Aries on April 30th where it will be effectively out of Saturn’s stoic and serious influence. Longevity and efficiency in partnerships and in our relationship to resources.
New Moon in Taurus: The Moon achieves maximum darkness on April 27th, at 3:30PM ET. This New Moon is an intention of ease and comfort. The Mind and Body get together to say “How can we create pace and prosperity?”. With this new Moon ruled by a Venus conjunct Saturn we are allowing for limits that support us in pace and the use of resources. With this New Moon in aspect to the Pluto-Mars Opposition (the Sun being part of that T-Square), we are setting an intention to consider how our indulgences are being ineffectively used to allow us to self-soothe when we are triggered, or when we think we deserve something, which may no longer be making us happy. So this is about discipline for the sake of self-care. This is about honesty with ourselves and others; this is about believing we are the highest version of ourselves.
*The date ranges reflect the Moon being a majority in the given sign during a 5am-11:59pm EST range. Moon Signs naturally set each other up for a successful procession through life's subtle developments. The Moon functions as a catalyst and distributor of the energies from the other Celestial bodies. You might take an extra note of when the Moon is entering important Houses in your Chart, like your First House/Rising Sign when you will be closely connected with your emotions.
Moon in Scorpio - Apr 14-15: These Moons increase the depth of emotion through a lens of self-preservation. We become more in touch with instinctual desire. We can be more honest with ourselves or others, as well as navigate strategically through that emotional vividness. The 15th will be an intense day due to other planetary configurations.
Moon in Sagittarius - Apr 16-18: These days will be better for exploring new ideas and locations. Scouting, brainstorming, debating, or stimulating. A great mantra for the Moon in Sagittarius is just, “Woo!”. The Moon isn’t a center of logic and articulation, so onomatopoeia is perfect. Like grunts and growls.
Moon in Capricorn - Apr 18-20: Considered a bad place for the Moon, these days can be better for objective thinking and grunt work. Though try to preserve a sense of sympathy in necessary situations. Don’t expect as much sympathy.
Moon in Aquarius - Apr 20-22: These Moons are similarly objective and stoic like Capricorn Moons, but with more excitement. These Moons urge us to do something with ourselves a little more. There is electricity. There may be a desire to stand out or do something shocking. We become more analytical.
This Moon will trigger the T-Square and we could expect some suddenness. A sudden desire, conversation, action. We expect the catalyzing of macrocosmic action on the political and international stage.
Moon in Pisces - Apr 23-25: Generally very vulnerable and even difficult moons. This Moon will be a time of lower energy in which we might expect to tuck in and conserve. We will pronounce the Venus-Saturn themes on the later end of this date range.
Moon in Aries - Apr 25-27: Triggering the Neptune Mars trine. These Moons are often urgent, but will also be a dark moon. This will be a time for those sudden celebrations of life in which we revel; privately, unplanned.
Moon in Taurus - Apr 27: The Moon’s home away from home. Where comfort and self-care can be prioritized. These are good days to make pleasurable decisions. Try to let the body feel good rather than just expend resources to escape. As well, you might deserve to treat yourself, and this is a good time to plan to do so. This will be a New Moon.
The New Moon passage really does a good job of summarizing the energy and message of these next two weeks. We will finally close the powerful retrogrades from the beginning of this year. Mars entering Leo is great and should deliver us more energy in general. The personal situation improves, while the socio-political-economic situation is, surely, less predictable. More energy means more fighting and more fighting back.
So in comparison to the political atmosphere, we are compelled to completely face the reality of the situation; with the realities of our own lives. Far-right fascism is here, in power, and we should do something about that. Personally, we do control our own reality and must take control of that. Are you much more than a victim of your own compulsive/instinctual behaviors in defense of a long since ended traumatic situation? Or are you a victim of a situation you can no longer tolerate? The energy to deal is coming. The inclination for ease and inner peace should be within you.
