Sun Square Neptune: This Aspect is strong this week and peaks the morning of December 18th. The current critical assertions of belief in society are asserted onto the emotional and spiritual vulnerability of the collective. For example, the run-off energy from the election will result in more social media artistry and expressions. Something like a political cartoon passively irking those who might disagree, and giving smugness to those who do agree. So look at the tension the belief and context behind others express toward you and be wary of its tension on your emotions and spirit.
Sun Enters Capricorn: The Sun moves into the Stoic sign of the Sea-Goat on December 21st, 4:20 AM. Capricorn Season. Structural initiations. Motions began in responses to the belief adaptations made in Sagittarius. We illuminate and bring identifications with an area of life in which traditions weigh on us. The Holidays. Financial expectations. The Cancerian world of tribe and ritual is contrasted by its opposite. The structural formation that is a result of Cancer’s water movements. Like how a river-bed is carved by water; emotional initiations (Cancer). Sagittarius is the directionality of energy in this case. There is great celebration during these days, but it takes work and cash to meet those Cancerian emotional expectations. The emotions can be destructive too; loneliness or materialistic disappointment can give way to extreme behavior. So there are high expectations in this illumination and Capricorn consciousness implies a feeling of high risk. We must perform to protect the Cancerian side of ourselves.
Venus Square Uranus: This aspect begins building on Wednesday December 18th and peaks next week. What builds this week is a conflict between Venus offering an indulgence to our Aquarius House that creates tension with the restructuring of society's comfort zone. Venus in Aquarius puts forward more attempts to appeal to larger groups of people; like advertising for the Holidays. Since we are making Uranian restructurings to people’s comfort zones we can take this example. The still relatively new social paradigm to be considerate of what Holiday someone celebrates. This aspect is like the problem people had with Starbucks holiday cups saying “Happy Holidays” instead of “Merry Christmas”. The phrasing is a social restructuring of the comfort zone. We address a more general portion of society more equitably, and disturb the comfort zone of more traditional folk (Taurus). Now every year around this time this aspect has been happening. We get near Aquarius Season and Venus stays close to the Sun at all times; while Uranus has been in Taurus since 2018. We should see similar situations personally and publicly.
Mercury Opposition Jupiter: This aspect first peaked ‘round midnight November 17th. With Mercury retrograde this perfected again the morning of Wednesday December 4th. Since Mercury stationed Direct at the end of last week and will perfect for the last time on December 26th. So these dates will tell their own little story. This will be an integral set of dates for the remainder of the year. This aspect will build into next week.
Through Interpersonal situations and our manners of relating: How do the cultures we reside in impact our logical mind? What messages are we trying to deliver? Sagittarius is a sign which wants to feel autonomous and aware in learning and growth. Gemini is happy to be whisked away by their wonder and other’s guidance. So there is an awkward feeling in this energy of whether we feel in control or not.
Remember to check your Sagittarius and Gemini Houses, which will be opposite each other and thus are two areas of life which directly depend and relate to each other.
Saturn Square Jupiter: The expansion in our Gemini house contests with the solidifying of our Pisces house. On December 21, 2020 we had the Saturn Jupiter conjunction. This Square is the First Quarter Phase of this planetary alignment. The sprouting of seeds started in Dec 2020 is followed up with problem solving now. We had the first square on August 19th, 2024, when Jupiter moved through Gemini. It has since Retrograded, and we will see this aspect perfect on December 24th, 2024. Then we will see the final Saturn Square Jupiter on June 15th, 2024.
Reflect on the relationship between your growth and your longevity. Growth demands we enter into novel areas, and longevity demands will reinforce existing arenas. How are these two parts of life showing conflict? How do they require problem solving and reconciliation? Again, this should be relevant to things that began in December 2020.
The Gemini house is expressed as the teacher/student, the speaker/listener; through communication, channeling, and learning. It is objective, and we are expanding here. Check the relevant house. The Pisces House is expressed as a healer/victim/sick or the artist/artistic observer. The Pisces expression can require solitude, spirituality, or shows signs of escapism or substance use. This Pisces House is experiencing solidification, obstacles, and structure. Check that house as well.
How is responsibility and delay to our emotional healing or artistry conflicting with our search for new knowledge and experience through communication and/or learning?
Mars Opposition Pluto: This aspect stays in the energy signature given Mars has stationed retrograde. This aspect first perfected November 3rd 2024. This aspect will perfect two more times. January 3rd and April 26, 2025. So these dates will tell a story. One of facing power dynamics and self-preservation instincts. We have entered a new form of assertion and willpower in the greater energy system with Pluto entering Aquarius for the next 19 years.
Plutonian matters are often hard to recognize. The point is that they are swept under the rug or taboo. How do you make long-term decisions that preserve your identity and sense of safety? What events have happened to you that altered your psychology and genetics? How do you play mind games or be manipulative? Where does sexuality and other deeper hidden desires direct you? With Mars entering Leo our pride can better protect our emotional sensitivity and keep us focused on the creative process. However, Mars will re-enter Cancer on January 6th, 2025 and lose a tremendous amount of power—though we also lose energy. How does/can your independence help keep you excitable and confident? Given the Mars retrograde we are reconsidering the direction, use, and preservation of our goals and energy.

Moon Signs naturally set each other up for a successful procession through life's subtle developments. The Moon functions as a catalyst and distributor of the energies from the other Celestial bodies.
Moon in Cancer - Dec 16-17: The home of the Moon, these days are generally low in energy or at least require self-pacing. There is emotional shedding to be had. Raised emotions. We will likely tap deeper into the Holiday spirit and whatever other ancestral or traditional contexts we normally re-center into emotionally.
Moon in Leo - Dec 17-19: The Leo Moon will bring forward more emotional protection of one’s creative will and emotional attachments, like our loved ones. This Moon will hit Mars creating extra inflammation. This will hit the retrograding Mars which will more distinctly show us how we are redirecting our willpower.
Moon in Virgo - Dec 20-22: These Moons can be anxious, but they highly work we need to be doing. It is important to take a moment to direct nervous energy productively. Service-mindedness to your body and loved ones.
Moon in Libra - Dec 22: Later on the 22nd, the Moon moves into Libra which is where social decorum, order, and harmonization in habits the emotional instincts. In Virgo we may clean a space, but in Libra we will feng shui the decor. Connect with someone or something. There will be a tension that feels like letting go given that the Sun will be in early Capricorn when the moon enters Libra; this will create a Third Quarter Moon in which we deal with the tension of release.
This week may come with passive aggression and indirection. Try to be direct with yourself and others. Think about what it means to be in your dignity. It demands respect from others and it demands honest self-discipline. We cannot demand respect we haven’t earned through our actions. Hypocrisy is about a double standard in consequences, not in actions. We may stumble this week because of distractions and fatigue. So removing a mental weight will mitigate the problems from this week.
Reflection on values and what brings you joy. What does this demand of you as well as others? Respect your sensitivities, but do not permit arrogance, hypocrisy, or excess wallowing.
