Dismantling
DEC 2 through dec 8
You can enhance your understanding by applying the Houses these signs and Planets are falling into in your Natal Chart. I am happy to help you with figuring that out, at no cost to you— just shoot me an email!!
Mercury Opposition Jupiter: This aspect peaked ‘round midnight November 17th. With Mercury going retrograde this aspect will build and perfect again the morning of Wednesday December 4th. Then after Mercury stations direct and continues forward we will see this aspect perfect for the last time on December 26th. So these dates will tell there own little story. This will be an integral set of dates for the remainder of the year.
Mercury and Jupiter are in each others’ home signs. It's like a Commercial Pilot and a Nascar Driver trying to do each other’s job while on the phone with each other; talking to each other through it. There is a strong awareness to how small changes in our methods of relating and communicating are representative of enormous shifts. We are objective about subjectivity; more objective about subjectivity. The current political atmosphere is indicative of this information flipping. Someone like RFK Jr. is primed to challenge American healthcare systems with “alt” ideas related to vaccines and unpasteurized milk. Whether or not he’s right or qualified is another thing. Vaccines and milk have “foreign” (Jupiter) bodies that enter our systems. We are primed to take a new examination on those facts and data. Subjective about objectives. Being objective about subjectives would be seeing how the appeal to the working class was the key to this election, and how the “Party of the People” managed to lose that election. Again, no opinions about these things; this is the situation we are in. We must be objective about the culture (Jupiter, subjectivity) of Americans and be objective about their values. The DNC just simply did not make the decisions to win this election.
Adding the Mercury retrograde will see this story coincide with the shifts to our routines, mental patterns, and the function of the body’s channels. This transit cycle will be more important to Mutable signs [Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces].
Through Interpersonal situations and our manners of relating: How do the cultures we reside in impact our logical mind? What messages are we trying to deliver?
Remember to check your Sagittarius and Gemini Houses, which will be opposite each other and thus are two areas of life which directly depend and relate to each other.
Venus Trine Uranus: This aspect perfects the morning of December 2nd. There will be more aesthetic consideration and need for ease put into our collective mentality this week. The pragmatic approach to harmonization that Venus in Capricorn has created is imported toward Uranus. We will find the leaders in aesthetics will influence the ongoing restructuring of thoughts on resources. For instance, a pragmatic approach to holiday decoration which is more financially feasible. This is a lovely aspect for something like Thanksgiving. American culture is so gluttonous and we can expect to see displays of reserve, frugality, or efficiency. It may simply be some humor about something like gluttony which will come up in more tense settings when Venus makes its Square to Uranus when it [Venus] is in Aquarius.
Mercury Cazimi: Mercury and the Sun will be tightly conjunct on December 5th boosting Mercury’s significations. This will be the day to take advantage of heightened acuity in the haze of Mercury Retrograde. It will be good to focus that thought into seeking grace and refreshment in this shift in mental and mundane routine.
Mercury Square Saturn: With Mercury retrograding it will perfect a square with Saturn on the night of December 6th. Building up to that perfection this week we will feel more serious and calculated in our speech and thought. Universal thinking and dedication to goodwill compels foresight into these reconsiderations of our routines in the Sagittarius house. So how do our routines help shape our beliefs and how can these beliefs warrant emotional healing and betterment in our sense of purpose? The tension here is between beliefs we choose from a place of inspiration (Sagittarius) with beliefs we hold due to our sensitivities and don’t really have a choice over (Pisces).
Mars Opposition Pluto: This aspect stays in the energy signature given Mars has slowed down in its preparation to go Retrograde this week. We have entered a new form of assertion and willpower in the greater energy system with Pluto entering Aquarius for the next 19 years. We feel more direct right now with Pluto entering a masculine sign, and Mars in making this more apparent while in Leo.
Plutonian matters are often hard to recognize. The point is that they are swept under the rug or taboo. How do you make long-term decisions that preserve your identity and sense of safety? What events have happened to you that altered your psychology and genetics? How do you play mind games or be manipulative? Where does sexuality and other deeper hidden desires direct you? With Mars entering Leo our pride can better protect our emotional sensitivity and keep us focused on the creative process. How does/can your independence help keep you excitable and confident? The next passage will be more on Mars in Retrograde.
Examine the way you consume information without judgment. Are you conforming to your social circles? Are you feeding into a paranoia by looking for conspiracies? Are you avoiding information in order to avoid triggering emotions? This is a self-awareness we can grab right now. For one signification the Aquarius-Leo axis (opposite signs) deal with equality vs. authority. There are for sure instances where a leader must exert their will, and the people get to decide when that has been abused.
Two things have become clear to me this election cycle. 1) The great majority of Americans think they are doing the right thing regardless of what side they are on. 2) Progressives and conservatives want the same thing. So of course we have been tricked into being in opposition to each other. We want an economy that works for us and to preserve our personal freedoms. We can argue about when life begins or whether America owes Latin Americans sanctity since our Imperialism destabilized the region to begin with. We do not need to argue about why so many Americans are struggling, sick, and out of our bodies.
Mars Stations Retrograde: The planet of action and willpower will move into its phase of reconsideration and reflection on Friday December 6th, @ 6:33 PM ET. Review the Leo house for relevant associations to the area of life. The Leo House is expressed with a need for dignity and creative expression. The Mars retrograde will see to it we review how we set and achieve goals in this House. How do we feel confident and assert that confidence? How can we better preserve that confidence? Is our inner archetype of a leader able to impose its willpower and how effectively?
Overall, willpower and assertion is reflected upon and this brings the natal Mars into consideration if you’d like to be thorough in your assessment. Or book me for a brief reading, I have inexpensive 20 minute Zoom Sessions.
With Mars Opposite Pluto what we will hopefully see is that people reassess what short term actions we’ve made to get to this long-term strategy that isn’t working. For instance, the Democratic Party failed its people and must be reevaluated; its strategies are disconnected from a majority of its usual voter base.
This transit is really about leadership and how that lines up self-preservation. We cannot be so concerned about our own survival that we lose our following, and we cannot be so concerned with our following that we cannot lead. Additionally, this transit speaks to following one’s instincts and bliss versus evaluation and analysis of oneself. Instincts are generally about survival and often linked to trauma. We can over-evaluate these instincts and find ourselves stuck, this is an Aquarian problem. Even if our instinct is to evaluate ourselves, this Mars in Retrograde will help us review how it is we can gather confidence and lead. Leading ourselves and others.
Venus Enters Aquarius: Occurring Saturday, December 7th at 1:14 AM ET. Venus in Aquarius boosts unconventional methods of appeal, highly equitable approaches to justice (all fights viewed equally), and looking for comfort through cerebral transcendance. This is a thoroughly egalitarian transit. The Capricorn is left with a gift, minor or major, and the Aquarius house will be given a boost.
Venus Conjunct Pluto: At the beginning of this week this conjunction will be present in a manner unseen. Venus will be in late Capricorn with Pluto in Aquarius; an “out-of'-sign” conjunction. Our manner of interpersonal exchanging is exposed, but inevitably only so much so and these situations just create more opportunity for concealment. Plutonian matters dealing with both exposing and concealing, we can see both. So I think what really happens is these things reset to create new dynamics in the hidden. This is normal, but high stakes. This is a good time to try new things within intimacy and apply personal healing through engaging pleasure. It doesn’t have to be healing, but just newness. We can also see exposing and concealing finances. In Aquarius we will see some form of novel equity among the people. Possibly some movement made in the cryptocurrency world that will develop during the following angles Venus will make to Pluto in once Venus enters the other fixed signs [Taurus, Leo, Scorpio] as these correlate with the major moon phases. Cryptocurrency is a futuristic monetary world that exists without as much regulation and can be incredibly shady. It’s perfectly Aquarian, adding Venus for rulership of money, and Pluto for high stakes high population business deals.
Overall, consider how an equitable view of value and love can help us overcome our deepest traumas. As well, expect the exposing of oneself in these situations in order to overcome these things. This type of event may have already occurred with Venus pushing toward Pluto, but here is where the new intention is made.
Again, Venus will actually enter Aquarius on Saturday December 7th. It will perfect its conjunction to Pluto that morning about 9 AM ET.
Venus Opposition Mars: With Mars moving backwards and Venus entering Aquarius we suddenly get this transit. The desire for intellectual stimulation with Venus is at odds with the quick creative action of Mars in Leo. Intimacy and general excitement will come with a need for communication and civility as these planets sit in opposite signs.
The opportunity for healing through enjoyment and analysis will have to support our reconsideration of our actions in leadership.
*The date ranges reflect the Moon being a majority in the given sign during a 5am-11:59pm EST range. Moon Signs naturally set each other up for a successful procession through life's subtle developments. The Moon functions as a catalyst and distributor of the energies from the other Celestial bodies.
Moon in Sagittarius - Dec 2: Coming off of the Sagittarius New Moon, we may feel renewed in our belief, perspective, and directionality or orientation. With Jupiter in Gemini, there is an approach of objectivity and respect to our own subjectivity which has shifted in some manner. These Moons are excitable and seek expansion through emotional guidance.
Moon in Capricorn - Dec 2-4: These Moons engage a cold and objective approach to emotions and emotional situations. These are good for applying those principles in tense situations. This Moon may trigger the Out of Sign Venus Pluto Conjunction, giving a surprising catalyzing of a situation that has been subtly brewing. Looking to the Capricorn/Aquarius houses and considering how they are linked in your life.
Moon in Aquarius - Dec 5-6: These Moons are quirky and engage a novel cerebral stimulation for the emotional center. Something like research becomes exciting for a couple days.
Moon in Pisces - Dec 7-8: These Moons are characterized by strong emotional vulnerability that can be intense for some. This will be the First Quarter Moon phase following the New Moon, and thus the first major follow up to the intention set during the super early morning of December 1st.
The highlight of this week is the tremendous energy around the planets Venus and Mars. The planets of Love and Will, Desire and Action. War and Diplomacy. We are called to dismantle something within ourselves, our community, our organization, etc. in order to reassess our approach to life. Primarily in order to better lead.
Consider building a fire. The initially set up of tinder, sticks, and logs is imperative for a successful fire. This week situations continue in order to call to us how we can restructure things in order to better preserve our sense of action.
Let the world inspire you to become the best version of yourself. Subsiding the ego for the sake of a better ego.
