Fortress of Solitude

Nov 18 through Nov 24

You can enhance your understanding by applying the Houses these signs and Planets are falling into in your Natal Chart. I am happy to help you with figuring that out, at no cost to you— just shoot me an email!!

These are from last week:

Saturn Stationed Direct: On November 15 at 9:20 AM EST, at 12˚ of Pisces. The reviewing and reconsideration of our long-term life structures end and we engage forward movement and development on these structures. Things should feel better now with a plan and intention for our long-term stability. A plan for this Saturn Direct period, lasting until July 13, 2025. What decisions for your life structures have been declared?

Taurus Full Moon: Occurring on the early evening (EST) of November 15th, this Moon will be disruptive to our usual sense of comfort and stability, but a releasing and reintegrating of our values will be nourishing to the overall quality of our lives. The Moon in conjunct Uranus allows for a liberation through acceptance and cerebral transcendence. The mind and body communicate in opposition to remind us the difference between what we want and what we need; that these two concepts are important to appease, but in a certain order. Following our bliss demands an exchange in which we also care for others on some level, even if it’s from a place of manipulation.

These transits happen for better or for worse and with more or less purity for everyone. I generally prefer to describe the transit in a way that encompasses all these possibilities. This Full Moon is following the New Moon from November 1st; reflect on these dates for the intention and culmination of your intentions.

This week:

Sun trine Neptune: This aspect peaks the night of Monday November 18th. The Sun sends a harmonious warming ray to Neptune. We are more sympathetic, especially on the basis of emotional consideration. When the Sun enters Sagittarius on the 21st the awareness of this aspect drops off fast. So mostly, either this or last week there is a subtle emotional breakthrough supporting the more difficult transits.

Pluto Enters Aquarius: For the final time on November 19th, 3:39 PM EST. This is it; Pluto will not enter Capricorn. Our Cardinal placements [Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn] and Houses end a major cycle phase. We will root even more deeply into this energy signature for 19 years; till 2043. Pluto in Aquarius will see power dynamics transform through collective breakthroughs. We will revisit the practice of social and technological revolutions. Individualism will see extremes as we go deeper into identity politics, commercialization of the self, contrarian forms of expression. A.I, control of information, and the equalization of systems. Fixed signs [Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius] will experience major cycles from Pluto so check your chart for Fixed sign placements and what Houses have Fixed Signs.

I realized this was the opposition for Pluto in Leo, which was about when Television started to become common in households. Pluto in Leo with something like television allowed a single voice or vocal group to project their creativity into enormous groups of Americans. Now with Pluto In Aquarius, what we see is an opposite, in which enormous groups of people speak into the singularity of the Collective consciousness. A.I. learning from the masses using it and being fed their data.

Mars Opposition Pluto: This aspect comes back with some awareness now that Pluto is in Aquarius, but the aspect has passed and leaves only the fading energy signature. Check in. We have entered a new form of assertion and willpower in the greater energy system. We feel more direct right now with Pluto entering a masculine sign, and Mars in making this more apparent while in Leo.

Plutonian matters are often hard to recognize. The point is that they are swept under the rug or taboo. How do you make long-term decisions that preserve your identity and sense of safety? What events have happened to you that altered your psychology and genetics? How do you play mind games or be manipulative? Where does sexuality and other deeper hidden desires direct you? With Mars entering Leo our pride can better protect our emotional sensitivity and keep us focused on the creative process. How does/can your independence help keep you excitable and confident?

Mars will retrograde later this year, and we will revisit this opposition while Pluto is in Aquarius. Everyone seems to think they have figured out what media to consume in order to actually be informed. It's much more likely we simply found a version of the information that protects or validates some part of us. This includes those who avoid being “informed” altogether. To be indifferent is another version of this and could be, for example, due to feeling unintelligent and incapable of forming a worthy political opinion.

Examine the way you consume information without judgment. Are you conforming to your social circles? Are you feeding into a paranoia by looking for conspiracies? Are you avoiding information in order to avoid triggering emotions? This is a self-awareness we can grab right now.

Venus Enters Capricorn: I just wanted to add to this description. This period, lasting until December 7th, we will be more aware of interpersonal boundaries. What can we actually expect of each other? What purpose do we serve in each other's lives? We will visit the subject of distance in relationships. Adult relationships. Professional relationships. Objective and functional elements of interpersonal relationships. We do serve a purpose to each other. Enjoyment or service. The acknowledgement of whether two entities are mutually beneficial and what decisions need to be made comes forward. The longest relationships are those that can be apart for long periods of time and pick right back up. As well as those relationships which are rooted in their dedication to each other; this implies a deep connection to the purpose they serve each other.

Mercury Opposition Jupiter: This aspect peaked ‘round midnight November 17th. This energy signature will continue to fade this week. Mercury and Jupiter are in each others’ home signs. It's like a Commercial Pilot and a Nascar Driver trying to do each other’s job while on the phone with each other; talking to each other through it. There is a strong awareness to how small changes in our methods of relating and communicating are representative of enormous shifts. We are objective about subjectivity; more objective about subjectivity. The current political atmosphere is indicative of this information flipping. Someone like RFK Jr. is primed to challenge American healthcare systems with “alt” ideas related to vaccines and unpasteurized milk. Whether or not he’s right or qualified is another thing. Vaccines and milk have “foreign” (Jupiter) bodies that enter our systems. We are primed to take a new examination on those facts and data. Subjective about objectives. Being objective about subjectives would be seeing how the appeal to the working class was the key to this election, and how the “Party of the People” managed to lose that election. Again, no opinions about these things; this is the situation we are in. We must be objective about the culture (Jupiter, subjectivity) of Americans and be objective about their values. The DNC just simply did not make the decisions to win this election.

Sun Enters Sagittarius: On November 21st, 2:56 PM EST, the Sun will enter the sign of the Centaur. This Mutable sign indicates a period in which we transition and adapt from the Cold and Dry Autumn, to the Cold and Wet Winter. This is when the wilted and dried leaves will be introduced to more moisture and thus can begin to break down. The specific climate functions and hemisphere shifts will of course look different.

Sagittarius is a sign which seeks to experience a balance of freedom and structure. Operating within a system in order to feel stable in the human mind, but with enough control to serve the instinctual animal nature. This part of life is illuminated with the Sun present.

What Sagittarius is about: The inner balance between logic and instinct. This is what has led humanity into creating subjective systems like politics, culture, art, etc. If we must serve the animal mind then we must be aware of historical context (consciously or not) in order to appease whoever is in charge; stay out of trouble or warrant cooperation. We must accept egoic needs with logic in mind. So we develop artistic style, theories, and politics. These things distort and become reinterpreted over time.

We review our winter preparations, our recent personal transformation, our election. These transformations we’ve rebirthed into during Scorpio must now be followed up with a creative-logical approach. The Sun in Sagittarius operates like the smartest horse in the world. You can have a professional working relationship, but you can also get kicked in the face and see everything fall apart. Sagittarius doesn’t care.

So the Sun enters your Sagittarius house. A place where you want to feel excited and stimulated. Review your Chart for the Sagittarius house and expect to pay more attention to this part of your life until December 21st when Capricorn season begins.

Mercury: Mercury will retrograde on November 25th. So it has been in its "pre-shadow” phase where it is slowing down. We are preparing for a particularly challenging Mercury retrograde so I want to bring this to the awareness now. The pre-shadow phase forebodes some issues. So take a look at your transportation methods, your beliefs, your mental state, and your routines. These will be primed to shift.

*The date ranges reflect the Moon being a majority in the given sign during a 5am-11:59pm EST range. Moon Signs naturally set each other up for a successful procession through life's subtle developments. The Moon functions as a catalyst and distributor of the energies from the other Celestial bodies.

Moon in Cancer - Nov 18-20: The home of the Moon. This emotional environment is more sensitive, but also nourishing. We make some important personal intentions because Venus is in Capricorn. The beginning of this week will require a mediation of needs and wants between the personal and practical spaces.

Moon in Leo - Nov 20-22: This Moon triggers the Mars/Pluto opposition. An event where the evolution of power dynamics around us are brought up more substantially as feelings arise. This Moon will offer more playfulness in spaces, but may also persist arrogance and dogma from a place of emotion.

Moon in Virgo - Nov 22-24: This Moon urges us to do some necessary work. Virgo Moons take out the trash. Virgo Moons persist editing of the emotional body and from an emotional place. Especially right now with Saturn in Pisces, there is always a boost of critical-mindedness during this transiting Moon.

The overarching theme of this week is settling into a fresh approach to boundaries and relating with a new tool or perspective. We have some area of life, likely the Taurus House, which has experienced some breakthrough. Some people are newly refreshed, some are sweeping up rubble; everything in between.

Relationships have to be worthwhile. A business relationship with mutual benefit; a deep karmic exchange between two souls who have switched roles in this lifetime. We arrived at a critical moment in some form of interpersonal space which demanded something breakthrough. We now have greater awareness of our comfort zone and how we can stay in our joy. Though we are also more aware of what necessary struggles we must endure in order to keep from getting stuck.

Take this week to practice this new mind-set. Preserving joy, but in duty to our investments. Time to nourish the self; time to challenge the self. This, in better harmony. Knowing ourselves allows us to remain in our comfort zone, but staying comfortable leads to stagnancy and stiffness. Being honest with ourselves about what we really want in life requires release.

This week develops the balance of pain and pleasure in life. Have those hard conversations and stretch your tighter muscles. If you are avoiding challenging situations you are likely beginning to accumulate stuck energy. We certainly don’t need to ace those challenges all the time. This is developing a balance between engaging painful and pleasurable activity. To follow your bliss in truth requires you must also choose to face your sorrows and process your pain.
