This Week’s sky - 11/04/24
Reseting the board.
Nov 4 through Nov 10
You can enhance your understanding by applying the Houses these signs and Planets are falling into in your Natal Chart. I am happy to help you with figuring that out, at no cost to you— just shoot me an email!!
Mars Opposition Pluto: This aspect peaked November 3rd. Mars left Cancer right at the end of last week. This week, the awareness of this transit drops off immediately, though it is still in effect. We experienced a face to face conflict about Plutonian experiences. Plutonian matters are often hard to recognize. The point is that they are swept under the rug or taboo. How do you make long-term decisions that preserve your identity and sense of safety? What events have happened to you that altered your psychology and genetics? How do you play mind games or be manipulative? Where does sexuality and other deeper hidden desires direct you? In Cancer and Capricorn you may have seen your needs contend with the preservation of long-term stability in home or emotional relationships. Parental themes may have come into play. More distinct for Cardinal placements [Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn], especially those with late degrees from 20˚-29˚ They are still experiencing more distinct transformative events. Now that Mars moved into Leo, the acute self-assertion doesn’t line up energetically with Pluto’s long-term self-assertion. Mars will retrograde later this year, and we will revisit this opposition while Pluto is in Aquarius. The game is changing. Our fundamental focus of preservation and assertion shifts.
Mars Trine Mercury: This aspect will be strong right at the beginning of the week, but quickly falter off day by day. Bringing haste to communication and movement. These two will inhabit fire signs, allowing for easier movement, but the aspect will weaken calling off any noteworthy events.
Venus Opposition Jupiter: This aspect peaked on November 3rd and will fade promptly as the week progresses. —Venus and Jupiter are the benefics, they offer positivity, pleasure, and increase. This can happen in excess, creating problems. With these planets in opposition we can see interpersonal situations which are decidedly positive, but come with some potential conflicts or problems. One party must represent each planet, and in the dreamscape of life, our roles constantly shift in an abstracting manner. As this aspect grows in strength there is more compulsion to follow our desires and indulgences. They seem to offer us pleasure and fortune, though more likely we exchange one for the other or represent one for the other. Simply put, we have the potential for something like overspending, getting a hangover, or overexerting ourselves.. In the signs of Gemini and Sagittarius there are themes of learning, traveling, exploring, or spiritual elevation. We may overstimulate our minds or spend extra time socializing as things feel exciting. Maybe there is a new character or new philosophy to be engaged in. We will find that the manner in which excess is mitigated will be stern, possibly harsh. Try to react amicably and with self-awareness.
Sun Trine Saturn: This aspect peaks right at the beginning of this week and fades slowly. We will still be able to channel this energy. The Sun has gracefully beamed its light on Saturn. The Sun in Scorpio prompts Saturn in Pisces; how can we preserve and protect confidence with longevity? How can I be honest with myself? What past experiences guide my creative willpower and what steps can I take to elevate this willpower? There is a fatherly signature alluded to here which offers some realness and may require some hard reflection. This week we are more aware of our responsibility and how to meet these expectations with less wear on our confidence.
This Week:
Mars Enters Leo: To start this week the planet of action and assertion changes signs. Mars operates much more effectively in Leo than in Cancer so we get a boost of vitality here. I highly recommend keeping an awareness of Mars transits above all, especially if you were born during the Day, as Mars adds more heat to an already warm birth signature. Mars is a hot planet that uses up energy. A metaphor: Does your energy burn like diesel or a soy wax candle? How do you need it to burn? Leo energy burns like Wood or coal; it’s good for a steady fire. Mars in Cancer burns like oil on a lake; why is it even on fire?
So, I recommend reflecting on the Cancer and Leo houses in your chart or this movement of Mars. Mars will be retrograding back into Cancer and we will revisit both recent and subsequent experiences. I will post an image of house signification below or reference. I am happy to tell you your relevant houses; don’t hesitate to shoot me an email.
The Leo house is an area in which we require dignity and creative freedom. With Mars we will feel a vigilance to protect our dignity and ability to express ourselves. This may bring up dogmatic tendencies, bruised egos, and boost creative energy. Try to funnel your energy toward creative projects that make you feel confident and avoid putting your energy into defensiveness. Conversely, it's good to be aware of what weak points Mars points out and see how you can reinforce them. This transit will cause stress, but works productively with the Sun Uranus opposition.
Sun Opposition Uranus: This aspect begins to build strength the morning of November 7th, Thursday. It will not perfect until the night of November 16th, a Saturday. With the Sun in Scorpio we illuminate the dark corners and taboos that collect dust in the face of our “best life” (Taurean comfort & luxury). Uranus creates a sudden shift for the sake of this illumination by making us more restless. Given this is an opposition we expect interpersonal manifestations and effects to how we relate to the world.
A past experience which affects expression rears its head and creates discomfort. We recognize something we’ve had to ignore and can take this opportunity to restructure our thought process to warrant more confidence, better leadership, and fair value judgments.
This transit is a strong indicator of how we will be projecting this month. Consider how your sense of entitlement and comfort zone is molded by your fears and conditioning from your past. Can we make some improvements? Most importantly, what are your Scorpio and Taurus Houses? These Houses are opposite each other and thus will have a special relationship that creates a bigger picture.
Sagittarius Risings will have this transit in their Scorpio 12th house, Taurus 6th House. How do fears of entrapment, addiction, and loss of identity mold your need or structure? How is this structure being challenged?
Again this transit only builds this week and will be increasingly important next week.
*The date ranges reflect the Moon being a majority in the given sign during a 5am-11:59pm EST range. Moon Signs naturally set each other up for a successful procession through life's subtle developments. The Moon functions as a catalyst and distributor of the energies from the other Celestial bodies.
Moon in Sagittarius - Nov 4: This Moon activates our inclination for optimism and expansion. We feel the state of our Sagittarius house and seek some stimulation. It will join Venus, opposing Jupiter. We may overindulge on a desire or experience or stimulation. Seeing, learning, or otherwise sensually experiencing something new.
Moon in Capricorn - Nov 5-7: These Moons persist in practical and objective approaches. These Moons can create cold environments and should be taken advantage of accordingly.
Moon in Aquarius - Nov 7-9: Aquarius Moons can also be cold, but they are more sociable. The Moon activates the Aquarius house where we may gravitate towards unconventionality. With Mars in early Leo, the initial ingress of the Moon into Aquarius will come with some tension, haste, or bodily inflammation. We may likely experience this in an interpersonal situation.
Moon in Pisces - Nov 10-11: The emotional environment opens up into more vulnerable space. This can be triggering for certain individuals. We may be surprised by our emotions these days.
Recent events have opened us up and let us know where we can feel triggered. Now it’s time to reflect and experiment with how to improve. This week primes us to really come into an enlightenment in the coming weeks.
So take this week with a scientific professionalism. Reminder: A hypothesis is supposed to be approached as though it is correct, but with the absolute understanding it may very well be completely false. Trial & error.
Something that has continued to be brought to me is that infants will look to their parents to know how they should react. Typically this is if they bump themselves and— maybe should be crying? So the parent can condition us to have a certain reactions to specific situations, especially during the infantile amnesia years; before we make memories as a baby.
I bring this up to contextualize the unconscious forces that guide our behavior. It takes deep work, strong intuition, and humble trial & error to advance ourselves.
