Consistent from Last Week:
Mars Conjunct Jupiter; Mars Square Mercury: Mars imposes haste on these planets. Principles of the mind, both big and small, ingrained daily habits and guiding principles. Be wary of getting ahead of yourself. Like trying to run downhill, how your feet can’t catch up to your body so you tumble. Curiosity and excess acuity could leave us to speak too quickly. A craving ruins your diet. A distasteful, but accurate critique that could be consequential. A desire to seek new experience continues to swell. How will you satisfy the craving for a change of scenery or pace? You seek some sort of stimulation or variety. Mercury supported in Virgo creates a good basis for applying this energy, but again— don’t lose your footing.
Additionally, Saturn in Pisces imposes some delay or obstacle in the Pisces House which creates a subsequent effect on these other Mutable planets in Gemini and Virgo. I keep referring to Saturn in Pisces in some such phrases like— A commitment to a dream; a dedication to some sense of purity. The Pisces house is reducing like bone broth. Concentrating; requiring concentration.
Virgo Enters the Mutable “Ring”: Venus in Virgo involved in a tense setting with Saturn in Pisces, with Mars and Jupiter in Gemini. Until August 29th when Venus enters Libra, the function of evoking desire, arousal, wanting, and appreciation will contend with an air of judgment; noticing flaws. We can lead into perfecting, clean-up, editing, and refining with a sense of appreciation. We will need a sense of dedication, so find something to make improvements on for the sake of. A partner, an ideal, for your God, for your future. Dawn that frame of dedication.
Mutable T-Square: Now the big problem is these conflicting energies co-existing. The Martian sense for action will be inflated, but poorly directed in Gemini where perspective is narrow and logic reigns supreme. The difficulty to evoke desire with Venus will also be hard to focus with Mars in Gemini. So we will have limited energy, and difficulty focusing it. Then Saturn in Pisces will persist some obstacles or obligations. The Mutable signs are adaptive, and being adaptive will be a big theme. Expect to put your energy into multiple places and let yourself be carried by fate between projects, rest, play, sleep, and whatever task seems pragmatic. There are no planets in Sagittarius, so we must remember that sign’s value set to create more balance with the rest of these mutable signs. Faith, cultural context, optimism, ethics. Your connection to these expressive principles of subjectivity.
Uranus Square Sun: This aspect will not be perfect until August 19th, but will continue to build. We will experience more and more unexpected and disruptive behaviors from our leaders. Possibly self-indulgent means. We had the Uranus Sun conjunction (New Moon Phase - Intention setting) on May 13, 2024 and now we are in the Uranus Sun Square (First Quarter Moon Phase - problem solving). So we face issues regarding the restructuring, awakening, and liberation of our soul and our masculine figures. Those in charge, our sense of vitality and what brings us confidence. You must hear your unconscious mind when it tells you what problems keep your soul in your body from being authentic. Prominent for Fixed signs. [Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius]
New This Week:
Mercury Enters Leo: The night of August 14th. Mercury moving from Virgo to Leo is functionally a downgrade, but Leo is a fine Sign for the planet. Speech is and logic operates on behalf of creative process. We may feel more confident in our ideals and be less discerning due to that confidence. Mercury will go direct the evening of August 28th, and enter back into Virgo September 9th.
Saturn Opposition Venus: This aspect imposes Saturn’s seriousness and delays onto Venus’ functionality. Venus is really going through it right now. Evoking arousal, appreciation, appeal, connecting all becomes incredibly difficult with a number of astrological maltreatments imposed on the Planet of Love. We may not find much eroticism in our relationships right now, we may not feel super energized from desire. We become more aware of flaws and thus feel more criticized by each other. Be understanding in Love right now as the space is not potent. As well, remember to approach others with the goal of seeing them through improvement should they choose to accept it. Projection of one's fears and flaws will be easier at this time. It’s like verbal haste, arrogance, insecurity will be a problem right now.
Mercury Cazimi: The night of August 18th will see the Mercury Cazimi where the Sun will imbue Mercury’s functions with Light and Luck. It will be a time of mental clarity and creative channeling into function and logical process. With Mercury in Retrograde it will add a powerful period of clarity to the routine restructuring. In Leo, this will greatly relate to optimizing the creative Leo house. How habits can optimize confidence and creative ability.

The Moon in Scorpio - Aug 12: This Moon started on Aug 10th. The First Quarter Moon phase brings up the first obstacles or issues to be dealt with regarding the intention set during the Leo New Moon on August 4th. Nurturance through the releasing of stuck energy or merging to create mutual trust and support.
The Moon in Sagittarius - Aug 13-15: Nurturance through understanding and comprehension, and offering optimism. This Moon will add the Sagittarian energy I spoke to in the Mutable T-Square creating a Mutable Grand Cross. The Moon will catalyze a complete communication of the tense integration of these 4 conflicting energies. Remembering where YOUR identity and confidence (fire) fits within the context of being adaptable (Mutable).
The Moon in Capricorn - Aug 15-17: Nurturance through hard truths and structuring. These days create less sympathy and pragmatic response; response ability.
Moon in Aquarius - Aug 17-18: The actual Full Moon will be on August 19th. A Full Moon which will see a culmination of the intention, set consciously or not, from the Leo New Moon on August 4th. Nurturance through the liberation of the mind; authenticity and intellectual stimulation. The Full Moon will offer a circumstance in which we can more deeply understand how improvements to our routines can support a connection between the inner and outer worlds; the conscious and unconscious; the emotions with passion and drive.
Many of the themes from last week carry over. Leaning into our personable and creative connection to faith. Our connection to our environment through culture. The patterns that create historical context and its relationship to our identity. These are Sagittarian principles and they do a lot of ground, into purpose, that erratic craziness that continues with this Mutable Messiness.
Devotion, love, and most-importantly self-love.
This week really only increases in difficulty as Venus becomes more bogged down with weight from a number of debilitations. Venus is there to arouse and gather the inner sexual-creative energy to be then sublimated into action by Mars, but it will provide less arousal. So you need to consciously connect the big and great sense of purpose AND the simple step-by-step goals in your mind. Take things one thing at a time, but within an awareness of what it is you are doing
