Mercury and Venus enter Cancer, followed by the Sun: These planets move into a more personal and tender place. Cancer, ruled by the quickly moving Moon, is a constantly shifting atmosphere. So the Moon’s sign as a characteristic foundation for these planets may feel volatile, but it is every 2.5 days that the Moon shifts signs— there is a pattern. You might take the Moon positions into more consideration till we start moving into Leo season. Additionally, Cancer rules over what feels familial and what is ancestral. Cancer consciousness seeks to remain in comfortable places and in leaving those feels incredibly vulnerable, like crustacean after molting.
From June 17 to July 1. Mercury in Cancer will have its logical processing more readily affected by emotional circumstance. The personal and emotional needs will dictate what is communicated and how. The shifting emotional landscape of the Lunar position will then affect where the attention is focused in the emotional body, thus affecting a sense of one’s needs. Local travel may be more intuitively decided. Cancer likes to make decisions in the moment because the mood may likely be different from when plans are being made to when it’s time to execute the plan. There is an emotional intelligence that can be tapped into at this time. Gemini and Virgo places as ruled by Mercury will more distinctly notice this shifting atmosphere.
From June 17 through July 10. Venus in Cancer will have its operation of interpersonal harmonizing dictated by the state of the personal and emotional needs. Aesthetic sense and the process of finding balance with space and other people will be affected by the mood. This will have that shifting atmosphere of the Moon changing signs making for a possible Hot and Cold type of operation. Especially for Libra and Taurus placements ruled by Venus.
From June 20 through July 21. The Sun in Cancer signals Summer and the Summer Solstice. The longest amount of daylight in the year. In Cancer, the Solar masculine source of the Sun is under the jurisdiction of the feminine source the Moon. Cancer Season presents such a beauty as our Solar vitality and confidence can be so connected to the emotional body. There is much nourishment to be had with this connection. Real expression and the confidence to move through the world with vulnerability. There is much growth to be had here, like the crustacean who can only grow if the shell is molted. A time to express oneself in connection to familial bonds and allow the feminine spirit to be exalted through the masculine prowess.
Mars Sextile Venus and Mercury: By the latter half of the week this aspect is more intense. The drive for action in Taurus is motivated by the experience of the senses and desire for pleasure. There is a strong awareness of the cultivation of stability and the potential for indulgence. So the logical and harmonizing function (Mercury and Venus) in its connection to the Lunar Body will receive a sense of urgency from Mars to readily tend to those Taurus values of Stability and pleasure seeking. This can be quite indulgent and escapist in the face of responsibility. This can be highly attuned for tending to spaces for optimizing comfort and energetic flow. This creates a potential stress between individual needs with familial needs. Like the siblings fighting to push for personal needs in contrast with what works for the entire household.
During these days the Moon is in the Signs Scorpio through Capricorn, and especially with Capricorn these do not supply tender and loving foundational characteristics for the Moon. It will be important to respect the functional side of emotional consideration. This can be a good time for realness about interpersonal functionality as it relates to space and logistical arrangements. People will be vying for their needs, but may either be covering it up or being dramatic in order to make that personal space. Be clear about your needs in a respectable manner, demand honesty from others, or put in the work to create space that optimizes the personal and emotional needs.
Vesta Enters Leo: Vesta transits will be noteworthy for Natives with planets in that sign, or in signs of the same Mode. Those Natives with Vesta pronounced in their Horoscope. Additionally, it could be important for those with a stake in sectors/industries relevant to the asteroid. Vesta changing signs shifts focus and commitment as a function of the personality. The ability to center attention and unify with something as integrated into a pure sense of self. Vesta in Cancer is better activated by exchange of needs, feeling needed, and familial bonding. In Leo, it moves into the more playful and attention seeking side of familial space. Focus and commitment is better garnered with creative freedom. Rejuvenation and energization is better gathered when dignity and respect within familial space and within one’s own psyche. Those with Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius, or Taurus placements may feel more of this transit. Vesta is in Leo from June 19 to August 24.
Saturn Trine Mercury: Later in the week Mercury in Cancer will attune with the energy of Saturn in Pisces. Saturn compels Mercury to an efficient use of words and nervous energy. We may operate more effectively, bringing in a good intuitive sense for that optimization of space as it relates to our needs. However, the thought process may also promote more scarcity and this could compel us not to say anything and reject our needs. A stricter synthesis of our imagination and responsibility to our sensitivities as expressed by Saturn in Pisces restricts the Cancer planets from operating too childishly in a way that is irresponsibility. Tending personal needs creates an environment in which our greater purpose can be garnered. This will be the right mindset, which will extend into next week as well.

The Moon in Scorpio - June 17-19: The crab shell is harder these days. The Moon in Scorpio demands space of either vigilance or trust. To oneself, deep emotions can come up and this can be refreshing should we choose to allow a little purge.
The Moon in Sagittarius - June 19-21: This Moon is excitable and venerating. The Moon in Sagittarius promotes optimism and seeks stimulation. Likely the easiest environment for these fresh Cancer transits— Sagittarius, although energizing, is still blunt and honest.
The Moon in Capricorn - June 21-23: Persists a stoic nature about the emotions. A practical basis for the emotional nature which is more concerned about long term decision making. This Moon can also deny the emotional body tenderness. So it’s important to consider the strategic advantages of tenderness.
Wrestling with that space between escape into indulgence or advancing into a real self-care lifestyle. Begin within yourself here and consider all the things you have control over to optimize your emotional stability with all your decisions. As we move into Cancer, we can attune to the question of our ancestral baggage. How do the desires and experiences or those who came before more affect me now? Like…a mother works hard to provide the best life for her children, but in doing so implants the value of personal neglect for the sake of the kinship. Thus the child grows up seeing this as a value. One problem was exchanged for another. Such is life. So we must shed and grow.
Cancer season provides space to grow, but demands to feel uncomfortable. In this, we can also reinvent ourselves into a better relationship with the self. I had a great conversation last week with a woman who spoke about the merit of feeling deeply instead of trying to make everything feel good. To feel deeply now gives us everything we need to grow. Lean into the emotions like pressure on a knot in the muscle. That pain can’t be avoided; it is compounded or released.
You may also feel attuned to your emotional body and feel the love that already exists there. The word Lunatic has that root word Lunar. The fast moving and erratic Moon which changes it’s energetic field quicker than any other planetary body. Non-linear process.
